How the Leigh Art Trail auction will work in 2017...
This year each Leigh Art Trail artist must donate one of piece to be included in a silent auction. Instead of having one central location where all the work will be displayed and auctioned off, each artist will exhibit it in their own venue.
I have selected a Limited Edition Giclée print of my Purple Pirouette 1. Printed by professional Fine Art printers on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm paper it is the first edition of 75 prints.
Bid cards and a box will be provided with an explanation of how it all works. Any visitor who wants to place a ‘silent bid’ on work simply fills out the card with their details and bid and puts it in the box provided.
As well as raising much needed funds for the Art Trail, the auction will provide an opportunity to donate money to the local charity Peaceful Place. This is a charity who help and support people with young onset dementia and those that care for them. More information can be found at www.peacefulplace.co.uk
